YOUTH FOCUS BALL

Visible Dance provided the opening entertainment for the Youth Focus "Night of Nights" Ball, held in the Burswood Grand Ballroom.

In keeping with the "French Opulence" theme for the night, and inspired by Youth Focus' mission in overcoming youth depression issues, we created a show featuring beautiful ballet marionettes, trapped and dysfunctional on their puppet strings. They struggle, escape, and transform, ultimately recovering their humanity and freedom in a spirited and graceful choreographic work.

The performance featured a live string section; violins, cello and harp, with a score and electronic base by Trilby Temperley and vocals by Samanta Ray.

The dancers also returned to the ballroom during the dinner, exploring the room and interacting with guests in-character, as the curious and mischevious masked puppets, creating an unexpected and delightful twist for the guests.
