Music

Visible Dance adheres to a policy of using only Perth-made music. In this way, we are able to maintain strong links with a range of great musical talent, and fostering a second branch of Perth artists through our projects. Perth has a fantastic music scene and we have developed relationships with great performers and composers across a broad range of musical styles.

Our Musical Producer: Trilby Temperley

Trilby has been the musical producer on all of our projects to date. He has great ability in music production, and his long history in cutting edge Perth bands has earned him a wide circle of musical contacts.

A master of creating atmosphere and energy, Trilby produces soundtracks in collaboration with the choreographers, creating aural experiences that sweep the audience up in the shows.

Cloud Kollektiv:

A smooth, electronic groove with diverse cultural elements, Cloud Kollektiv won two WAMI awards in 2008. Cloud's lineup variously features violin, jazz keyboard, classical guitar, tabla, sitar, and vocals by MC Joe Black, Samanta Ray and Cle Wootton.

Turn:

Andrew Weir and Dan Di Paolo form this fascinating new Perth act, who provided the soundtrack for Peter Fares' "Breaking the Mantle", part three of "Sphere". Turn's stirring blend of guitar loops, synth backing and dynamic percussion won them an Album of the Week accolade from RTR-FM for their debut release "1.0" in 2009.

The Transients:

Perth's answer to Daft Punk, the Transients are high-energy electronica with irresistably catchy melodies and beats. Visible Dance used their music for the funky introductory sequences for "Game" as well as the closing of the Ford Model Search for Claremont Quarter in October 2009.

She Selexx:

An exciting new dark electro band, She Selexx have played live at two Visible Dance shows, and provided the main soundtrack for Kylie Murray's "Game".
